My favorite commercial commission experience. A very officious contract is signed, I am paid generously to work for three months and left alone to do so, returning to Burbank with two presentation books worth of work to discuss. None of it was used, ultimately. This is just one bit of it. The things this job led to – establishing myself as a business entity after years of avoiding it, securing my first and likely only studio/office space in Los Angeles – made the letdown very bearable.
