KCHUNG Radio

Mr. Bothwell had the idea for KCHUNG in March 2011, when a course he took at the artist-run Mountain School in Chinatown featured a guest from a local radio station. Afterward, outside class, he “got riled up” about public radio restrictions on content. “I said we could do better. We were in this pavilion across from Chung King Road, so I said we’ll call it KCHUNG.” He credits Harsh Patel and Luke Fischbeck with helping him get the station running.
